The train goes via the seaside town of Otaru with a picturesque setting of the coastline, where the snow meets the ocean. This option is longer, and requires a quick change in Otaru. If you have the time, not much luggage and enjoy train rides, then it is definitely worth it. Catch the train to Kutchan station, where your accommodation concierge may pick you up or you can easily take a short taxi ride.
